    5th International Deaf conference is organized by DEAF LEADERS FOUNDATION, Hosts by West Bengal Association of the Deaf, Kolkota in support partnership with Sakeela charity – Swiss & others and its global partners are proud to announce the fourth International conference on innovation Technologies, Sign Language & Deaf Culture Awareness and Education for the Deaf, to be held from November 11th to 14th December 2017 at Kolkotta.

    DEAF LEADERS Foundation is an extravagant multiple event fest of mega festival for the global era, is coming to Goa or Tamil Nadu in 2017 for a grand opening of 3000 participants, First edition of deaf Expo & Conference was held at Coimbatore in 2007 and second edition at New Delhi in 2010 and third edition at Mumbai in 2012 also latest edition at Coimbatore 2015. The biggest event of the year in the history of deaf culture is geared up to create another revolution in our pride city- Coimbatore.

    This is promoted and facilitates new multi faceted approaches to one of the core issues of our time, namely globalization and its many forms of growth and expansion.  The theme of Innovation Technologies, Sign language, Film Festival & Culture Awareness and Education for the Deafness. We are calling an International Conference with the main purpose of educating the public about Deafness, providing rich opportunities for the Deaf people and to maintain the awareness about the Deafness Culture and sign language.

    India has about 7 crores DEAF people. Yet, little is being done for Education, Employment, and Rights of this huge population. The public has little or no information about Deafness. We are calling an International Conference with the main purpose of educating the public and maintaining the awareness about the Deafness Culture. There has been a major advance in Technology that can help Deaf people in Education and Rehabilitation. The Deaf Expo is also offering this rich opportunity for Educators, Inventors, and Businessmen to showcase their products in the Exhibitions. In addition to making their product available to consumers, they will be above to learn about other products and share technology and related information. We will also provide deaf REVOLUTION 17 entertainments. Leading Deaf artists and Performers will provide rich cultural programs including mime, drama, dance, movies and others - all related to Deafness.

  • Local Hosts by West Bengal Association of the Deaf

    West Bengal Association of the Deaf (WBAD) was set up in 1935 and is the premier organization of persons with hearing impairment in South-East Asia. Our range of activities cover all districts of West Bengal but is most pronounced in Kolkata, Murshidabad, North 24-Parganas, Hooghly, Purba Bardhaman, Bardhaman, Paschim Midnapore, Purulia, Darjeeling and West Bengal Foundation of Deaf Women. The West Bengal Association of the Deaf currently has a rented office situated at 41-B, Sadananda Road, Kolkata-700026 since 1935 and is the only registered society under the Govt. of West Bengal Societies Registration Act. The Association is affiliated to the All India Federation of the Deaf, New Delhi. The Association is recognized by the Department of Sports and Youth Services and Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, affiliated with West Bengal Library Association. It is also affiliated with the Cricket Association of Bengal and Indian Football Association. The Association participates in the 4th Division Football League conducted by Indian Football Association and also in the 2nd Division Cricket conducted by Cricket Association of Bengal. WBAD has newly constructed 2 storied own House situated at 85/1A, Manik Bandyopadhyay Sarani, Gachtola, Kolkata-700 040 and also set up a Vocational Training School for Deaf student named Jiban Provat Das Memorial Vocational Training School for the Deaf with Financial supported by Rotary Club of Kolkata and Kolay Poperties and others.


    Bengal Deaf Youth Academy (BDYA) is a Youth Section of West Bengal Association of the Deaf (WBAD) Established in 2013 with a view to keep ready for its youth talented and skillful members with modern Technology responsibility in Administration with of WBAD in near future. Beside this BDYA organizes different Education programmes including multipurpose Vocational Training I.e. Computer Training, Indian Sign Language, Silent Film etch ant also participate in National as well as State level Youth programme.
